Latvian Championship

The fight between man's will be interesting this year, because the last years championship title will try to defend Mārtiņš Rubenis, which will have to compete not only with this season's team members Inārs Kivlenieks, Kristaps Mauriņš and Artūrs Dārznieks, but also with Ritvars Štiens, Imants Marcinkēvičs and juniors- Riks Kristens Rozītis and Roberts Millers.

For the Ladies singles at the start we will see not only our Olympian Elīza Tīruma who was Latvian champion the previous year, but also Ulla Zirne, Saiva Dambīte and juniors Kendija Aparjode, Paula Ābele and Alise Evelīna Mitkus. But the biggest surprise -junior team coach Aiva Aparjode, who also will try to show what she can in the thack.

In Double's competition will compete our Sochi Olympic bronze medalist Andris and Juris Šics and also Oscars Gudramovičs/ Pēteris Kalniņš, Kristens Putins / Zintis Šaicāns.

For the ''A'' Youth age group, of the starting line will go 10 young athletes. Last year's winner Kristers Aparjods will try to be the best between other team mates: Jānis Ādamsons, Ernests Rudzītis, Ralfs Bērziņš, Andis Andrejonoks, Gunārs Bergs, Edgars Stalts, Kristaps Krauze, Viesturs Knets and Edgars Karnite.

But for girls in ''A'' youth age group we will have four members - Zelma Bite , Kate Keita Farnhorste, Elīna Žurzdiņa and Anda Upīte.

Also, more than 30 new luge racers will compete in youth '' B '' ,'' C '' and '' D '' age groups.
