- How did you get involved in luge sport?
Definitely thanks to Artūrs Dārznieks who told me about the option. Also need to thank my first coach Ingrīda Amantova, because it was simply a hobby when I was just a kid. And of course, thanks to parents, who support me and never let me quit at difficult times.
- Your coaches during your professional career:
Ingrīda Amantova;
Aivars Kalniņš;
Jānis Ozoliņš;
Kaspars Dumpis;
Mārtiņš Rubenis;
Sandris Bērziņš.
- Sled construction: do you build them yourself? Who taught you to build them?
I don't build everything myself, because technical part is not what I'm good at. I have learned a lot from more experienced teammates and coaches, for example, Inārs Kivlenieks, Mārtiņš Rubenis and Sandris Bērziņš.
- Your favorite ice track?
Track in Koenigssee, Germany.
- What inspires you?
It's not a specific person, but more feelings that I get after a productive work.
- Your favorite place on Earth?
Home.
- What is your motivation?
People who believe in me, who support and help. Family.
- What do you wish to new luge athletes and youth in general?
Be active and work hard at practice, but always get joy from these activities.
