What do you think, what time luge rider started the day? Six in the morning, at eleven? Here's a small description of the athlete's Day plan.
Here is a little story from our Junior team member Riks Kristens Rozītis. : '' Day plan depends on what the workout schedule. When sliding on the track is provided at ~. 9:00, then we get up in 7:45. But there are mornings when your eyes must be opened much earlier. As such, today. We get up already 6:30 because sliding started at 8:00. Morning activities is a necessary event. We must wake up our body, because it is unable to immediately put it to work for 100% percent. And only when the body is awakened, you can go for breakfast, because then it will know what you need and what you want to eat. Sleeping body does not know what he needs and what he wants, therefore, food processing is not so good.
After a high-fat breakfast, when the body is rested after work, we can go to the workout. If sliding is not intended, then we improve ourself in the gym or in the fresh air. This can be a slow running, speed or coordination exercises . We have to find the time to prepare our sleds too.
Such a training camps are with their benefits and burdens. Home pillow will always be softer and mother's pancakes tastier, but here we can improve yourself. The training camp is a very good starting point for the race. The team is in good physical shape and we hope that it will be also in the competitions.”
