Excellent TV Ratings in Germany

Berchtesgaden (RWH) The Viessmann World Cup organised by the International Luge Federation (FIL) this post-Olympic winter achieved excellent audience ratings in the two German television channels ARD and ZDF.

The highest market share went to ZDF, whose live broadcast of the men’s singles in Winterberg (GER) on 25 January 2015 was watched by 3.54 million viewers or 28.0%, with four million spectators, representing a 25.5% market share, watching the second run. The highest number of viewers recorded by ARD was during its live broadcast of the team relay in Oberhof (GER) on 18 January 2015, which was watched by 4.14 million viewers, a market share of 21.3%.

Other events attracting high numbers of spectators were the team relay in Sigulda (LAT), when 3.74 million fans (24.3%) watched the German quartet win the World Championships, and the team relay in Winterberg broadcast by ZDF and watched by 4.04 million viewers (19.6%).
