J.Šics:" we are happy the 5th place in Konigsee"

Today we had our both double teams on the start - Andris Šics / Juris Šics and Oskars Gudramovičs / Pēteris Kalniņš .

The first run was better for brothers Šics and Šics - 50,554 seconds and 8th . O.Gudramovičs / P.Kalniņš first run time was a little slower- 50,844 seconds and 12th place .For O.Gudramovičs/ P.Kalniņš second run was unsuccessful because they did not finish, but A.Šics / J.Šics with a second time 50,335 seconds, showed a two- run total time of 1 minute 40,889 seconds and they were 0.933 secounds slower then race winners Tobias Wendl / Tobias Arlt. After all- the brothers ranked 5th in the 6th World Cup this season .

After start we talked with Juris Šics, who admitted that he and his brother were satisfied with the fifth place . '' This track is fast and we like it. We worked hard in holidays and it ends up with success.''

Tomorrow will be the competitions for the men , of whom two will be the Latvian national team members - Kristaps Mauriņš and Inārs Kivlenieks .

After the man's race, is a team relay and there will be also our- Latvian team.
