4th World Cup silver for A youth, stays in Sigulda

European Championships for juniors and also 4th World Cup for juniors / youth, where among 30 athletes competing our athlete Kristers Aparjods, “A youth” group, won the 2nd place, he was only 0.232 seconds slower then the winner from the Austrian team Niko Gleicher, 3rd place won Italian athlete Fabian Malleier. Other our athletes-Ralph Bērziņš ranked 6th, Gunārs Bergs 10th, Edgars Karnītis 16th place and 17th place for Edgars Šalts.

After winning Kristers said that " I managed to make two more successful runs than in trainings and I am happy with the progress."

In turn, the team's head coach Aivars Kalniņš commenting on the achievement said: "In training we tryed new runners, but in the competition we changed to the old again - and succeeded!"
