2nd place for Oskars G./ Pēteris K. in Nations Cup

Today, in Sigulda's luge track was held the race "Latvia Travel Sprint Cup" which is both, the Nations Cup and qualification for 9th Viessmann World Cup. Our doubles- Oskars Gudramovičs / Pēteris Kalniņš won 2nd place after winners of the Russia Alexander Deņisjevs / Vladislav Antonov, the team from U.S. Mathew Mortensen/ Preston Grifaal won the 3rd place among 17 doubles.

In "Latvia Travel Sprint Cup" our double Andris Šics / Juris Šics ranked 7th, the winners of this race was Italian team Christian Oberschtolz / Patrick Gruber, but 2nd young Italian athletes Ludwig Rieder / Patrick Rastner. 3rd place this time for Austrians Andreas Linger / Wolfgang Linger. Oskars Gudramovičs/Pēters Kalniņš won 8th place among 25 doubles competing.

After finishing Juris Šics said : '' We had a curious case today, but the good thing is- that happened today. Feets fell out at the start of the sled horns, so, we drove without a good start and the mirackle was that we did not fall out of the sled.''

Our double Oskars Gudramovičs / Pēteris Kalniņš also qualified for the 9th Viessmann World Cup what will happen tomorrow .
