Šics/ Šics 5th fastest in Europe

European champions, Italian double Christian Oberschtolz / Patrik Gruber, 2nd Russians Vladislav Juzakov / Vladimir Makhutin, but 3rd Austrians Andreas Linger/ Wolfgang Linger.

Our athletes Andris Šics/ Juris Šics finished 5th, but Oskars Gudramovičs/ Pēteris Kalniņš 8th among 17 doubles competing.

After the finish Šics brothers admitted that the runs were comfortable, but not with the achieved results. In turn, our other double athlete Pēteris Kalniņš said: "Frankly , the first run was very bad, but the second one- very good. To climb on the podium or at least close to it, you have to have two good runs. The sled is good, everything is in our own minds"

The winners of the 9th Viesmann World Cup was the same- the Italian duo Christian Oberschtolz / Patrick Gruber, the second Russian Vladislav Juzakov / Vladimir Makhutin, but the third - the Austrians Andreas Linger / Wolfgang Linger.

The best of our doubles was Andris Šics / Juris Šics who took 5th place, while Oskars Gudramovičs/ Pēteris Kalniņš ranked in 9th place among 20 double teams.
