First medals for Elīza Tīruma and Mārtiņš Rubenis

Today, 6th october, in Lillehammer track , was the traditional ''Lillehammer Cup” in luge .

There was also Latvian luge team members, who are in Norway for their first ice camp this season.

Elīza Tīruma, in ladies singles, won 1st place . But the fastest among the men of Latvians was Mārtiņš Rubenis, which won the 3rd place .

In turn, Kristaps Mauriņš ranked 11th, Inārs Kivlenieks 14th, but Artūrs dārznieks 18th .

The second fastest ladie from Latvia was Ulla Zirne, she won 5th place, but Saiva Dambīte ranked 10 th.

In doubles competition the fastest of ours was brothers - Andris Šics/ Juris Šics who left “one seat” behind the podium - 4th place. Oskars Gudramovičs/ Pēteris Kalniņš ranked 9th.

In Norway Latvian luge Olympic selection will stay until October 11th, and then they will return to Latvia, where in October 25th they will paticipate in the “President's Cup”- our traditional start push cup.
