7th place in team relay for Latvija

5th Viessmann World Cup in luge is finished.

End of the competition, teams competed in the relay. Latvia in team relay was represented with Andris Šics / Juris Šics, Ulla Zirne and Mārtiņš Rubenis.

Ulla's time was 45.424 seconds, Mārtiņš reaches the finish line after 46,958 seconds, but the duo of brothers finished in 47,387 seconds. Latvian team total time was 2 minutes 19,769 seconds and that was 7th fastest. They were 1.223 seconds slower then winners of the Germany - Natalie Geisenberger, Felix Loch, Tobias Vendl / Tobias Arlt.

This was the last international competitions this year. On december 16, our athletes will return home and after-December 21 they will compete in Latvian Cup at Sigulda. Right after new year in 3rd January in Germany - Königssee track, will be the start for Nations Cup, but the last, 9th World Cup this season will take place in late January - 25th - 26/01/2014 at Sigulda track.
