Ulla Zirne 11th in World Championship for juniors

Among 52 junior girls, today on the start went our youngest XXII Winter Olympic luge slider Ulla Zirne and other junior girls- Kendija Aparjode, Alise Evelīna Mitkus and Anda Upīte.

The best of our girls were Ulla Zirne, presenting a two- run total time of 1 minute 21,781 seconds reached 11th place. Race winner Vötter Andrea of Italian was 0.601 seconds faster then Ulla.

Kendija Aparjode 23rd ( 1 minute 22,186 seconds ), Alise Evelīna Mitkus ( 1 minute 22,529 seconds), but Anda Upīte 39th this time.

Ulla Zirne: '' I was in Austria with the idea for the top three, but in such weather conditions, it is impossible to slide. Thinking of Sochi, I would not say that this championship gave me something more.''
